Hi everyone! I hope everyone is well and finding the semester starting to smooth out as we move forward together.
My name is Dr. Maya Stovall, and I’m one of your faculty-in-residence here on campus. For the past couple years, we’ve been linking academics and student life with our programs, while living in small apartments here on campus.
Some of us faculty have pets, and this includes me—2 adorable dogs named Bookie and Breezie. Lately Bookie and Breezie have been my teaching assistants, it seems, with classes online. They continue to enjoy walking around campus.
One thing I’ve noticed is how moments of peace and happiness are even more precious during these rough times. B and B bring a lot of happiness with their playful personalities.
In an attempt at virtual puppy therapy, I’m sharing some images of B and B here. Enjoy!

Ready for our close-up :-)

We’re behind the screens, teaching class :-)

We are exploring campus and smelling the roses

Playing with our third friend :-)

We’re listening to the waterfall flowing and the birds singing :-)

We’re wondering when this Zoom meeting will end, so we can eat dinner :-)
I hope Bookie and Breezie have brought you some smiles today. Please take time to spend time for yourself—even if it’s just a few moments, to get some fresh air, meditate, stretch, deep breathe… or even, to look at pictures of adorable puppies like B and B. Remember you are not alone, we care, please stay connected to staff and faculty and let us know what you need and how you’re doing.
